Returning to a small town in southwestern France for the funeral of his former boss, Jérémie's stay with widow Martine becomes embroiled in a disappearance, homoerotic intrigue and threat, and a mushroom-foraging abbot.
Personable Jérémie finds himself back home in the country and the sexual possibilities in this strange, earthy place are seemingly endless: his antagonistic, prize-fighting pal Vincent, the still attractive, elegant Martine, grungy neighbour Walter, and a horny, mushroom-foraging abbot. Deceptively perhaps, Jérémie is not quite the passive, obliging young man that he seems in this offbeat, darkly and defiantly queer vision of French provincialism.
