THE BRUTALIST and CONCLAVE went head to head at the BAFTA awards on Sunday evening.
Conclave won four BAFTAS: Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Adapted Screenplay (by Peter Straughan from the best-selling novel by Robert Harris) and Editing. The Brutalist won BAFTAs: Best Director for Brady Corbet, Best Actor for Adrien Brody, Cinematography for Lol Crawley and Original Score for Daniel Blumberg.
Plenty of opportunities to watch both films at Borderlines, but book now to avoid disappointment - some of the Flicks in the Sticks screenings of Conclave are selling out fast. There's an extra screening of The Brutalist at Richard Booth's Bookshop Cinema in Hay that was scheduled after the brochure went to print and it's also showing at The Courtyard Hereford, Malvern Theatres and Ludlow Assembly Rooms right at the beginning of the Festival.
