In his first fiction feature, Roher channels comedy, romance and crime thriller around a gifted piano tuner's meticulous skills.
Promising musician Niki White (Leo Woodall) has hyperacusis, a condition that turns any mildly loud sound into one that’s quite deafening. Wearing heavy duty headphones to muffle excess noise, he has harnessed his acute hearing into a profession that affords some satisfaction: piano tuning. With his smooth-talking mentor Harry Horowitz (Dustin Hoffman), he visits the homes of wealthy clients for whom a piano is just an accessory. When Niki discovers his sensitivity to sound also gives him an aptitude for safe-cracking, he embarks on a thrilling and heightened spiral of crime.
