Come and find out how a film archive works in this new exhibition, on display in the foyer of Malvern Theatres for the duration of the festival.
The BFI National Archive looks after one of the largest and most important collections of film and television in the world. Its teams of experts ensure that the collections are preserved and developed for future generations and made widely accessible to today’s audiences. This multimedia installation enables visitors to explore this work and learn about the people who make it possible.
On Saturday 7 and 21 March, younger guests are welcome in this free drop-in space, where they will be able to handle rare film formats, operate a 16mm film viewer and create their own hand drawn film strips.
Drop in anytime from 10am – 2pm to participate.
The exhibition is supported by the BFI Screen Heritage Fund, awarding National Lottery funding.
