Malvern College is proud to sponsor Borderlines Film Festival, a partnership rooted in a shared commitment to cultural enrichment, community engagement, and the exploration of diverse global perspectives.
Our sponsorship stems from a desire to support the arts within our local community and provide a platform for storytelling that challenges and inspires. As an educational institution, we recognise film as a powerful medium for broadening horizons and fostering empathy, aligning with our mission to prepare students for a complex, interconnected world.
Just as Malvern College cultivates a diverse, international community, Borderlines brings world-class British and international cinema to rural audiences. Both organisations strive to showcase perspectives that extend beyond immediate borders.
While Malvern College is a global brand, it is deeply embedded in the Malvern Hills. Similarly, Borderlines is the UK’s largest rural film festival, dedicated to bringing high-quality culture directly to venues across Herefordshire, Shropshire, and Worcestershire.
Our Malvern Qualities - including curiosity, open-mindedness, and risk-taking - are mirrored in the festival’s curated selection of independent and experimental films. Both institutions encourage individuals to look closer, think critically, and find their own voice.
The college’s focus on transformational bursaries and inclusive education aligns with the festival’s mission to make cinema accessible to all, regardless of geography or background.
Our next Open Morning will take place Saturday 14 March, 2026.
We would be delighted to welcome you and your child to our school.
